Match Report

A terrific game on our home pitch against a highly reputable Blaxland team who were put to the sword by the hard running Wolves! Our constant running and attack on the ball was excellent, almost causing a boilover. In the end, we went down 4-3, but the ever-improving Wolves are seeing reward for their hard work.

In recent weeks our goalkeeping has been a real feature of our game and this week was no exception with Josh owning the goals in the first half, making several quality saves and playing the ball on quickly.

Kynan’s running game in the first half sliced through the Blaxland defence, setting up some scoring chances and with a great second half effort in goals, he was player of the week.

Alex’s full ground press is becoming legendary, finishing with two goals; his dash threatened the opposition all day (including in an earlier cameo appearance for the undermanned Sharks – well done Al)!

Martin pressed forward extremely well this week to score a goal and showing his trademark relentlessness, brushed off a hard tackle to help his team until the very end. Super brave effort Martin, well done!

Layla playing back, took on their attacking players at will, dispossessing and preventing numerous goal scoring chances for the opposition.

Hamish, Luke and Lachlan showed brilliant composure and technique, demonstrating stopping the ball and lining up passes, not only ensuring we maintained possession but setting up play too!

Great game team – lets keep getting better!
