Match Report U9.8 – 27 August, 2005

BMSC 1
vs Glenmore Park
Opposition Score 2
Match Report It was a big day for the Blue Mountains 9.8 team. Having finished the competition games not near the top of the ladder, it was exciting to be in the pennant final. Good weather and large crowds saw a well-fought match against Glenmore Park. The first half was characterised by plenty of action in the Glenmore Park half. Sadly the Blues were not able to convert their hard work into goals. One rare foray into the Blue Mountains half led to a high goal for Glenmore Park and the score at half time was one nil against the Blues. In the second half the play moved from end to end and Glenmore Park scored again. A big fight back late in the game saw a fantastic goal by William making the final score Glenmore Park two, Blue Mountains one. It is clear the team have improved greatly throughout the season, thanks to Coach Barry. The last time we played against the Glenmore Park the Blues went down seven to nil. A big thanks goes to Graham who stepped up as acting coach for today’s match and did a great job.
