||On a beautiful, cloudless, blue-skied day, with a bitterly cold Southerly blowing … no, make that an absolutely freezing wind blowing … the mountain boys headed down the hill to play at the picturesque grounds of their Emu Plains challengers. It was so cold that even the balls seemed to shrink! The Sharks took a while to warm up, but even then, could never fully fire on all cylinders to their full potential – it was just TOO cold. However, considering the weather, the boys played very well, with Kegan scoring 3 goals in the first half, Jake scoring a goal in each half, Sasha scoring in the first half and Drew scoring in the second half. Lachlan and Christian showed some really good ball skills and Joshua supported his team mid-field. Jake did some unbelievingly long kicks from the back line, in both halves, which helped the Sharks dominate the game. Player of the Match was Christian, with his fine ball skills and all-round team support. Well done , Christian! See you next week, boys – back on home ground, and hopefully playing in warmer weather!
