Match Report

Where do we start to describe an outstanding game of soccer by this wonderful group of boys. Every week they are developing more as a team under coach Matthew.

Today they won 5 – 0 but that wasn’t the highlight. It was the way every player contributed to the success. After the game all parents who witnessed the game were faced with the dilemma of trying to nominate the player of the match.

So who could it have been? Was it:
Will who scored 4 skilful and well placed goals? Blake, tireless in defence and scored an incredible goal from just inside the half way line with that incredible left foot of his.

Was it Fletcher who with his outstanding defence and blinding speed, managed to stop Colo’s attack on numerous occasions.

What about Christopher, our mighty little man, who never took a backward step, managed to gather ball for his team and frustrate the opposition.

What of Cameron, Daniel and Thomas who were able to create problems all day for Colo. There was Nicholas who kept creating breaks with his speed and accurate passing.

Ryan, Luke and Oliver’s defence kept turning Colo’s attack around. Andrew always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. And when he was called on, John stopped the occasional ball from entering the goal.

On the sideline, coach Matt was quietly studying the opposition and guiding his team to this great team victory. Well done boys. A great team victory.
