Match Report U12.2 – 19-06-2010

BMFC 1
vs
CRANEBROOK 2
Match Report Against opposition of a very similar standard, we just didn’t get out of first gear in the first half. One of our strongest points is the understanding of the offside rule, yet today, defenders stood flat. Not suprisingly we trudged off at half time losing by two scrappy goals. After facing reality with a half time talk, the boys produced some good football. Fletcher Allison led the way with strong tackles and Fraser Brown got heavily involved in the middle of the park. Kali Ferris-Smith took a well placed Penalty kick to get the score line close, and in the final ten minutes Aiden Morgan and Connor Stanners both tormented defenders down their sides of the field. Cranebrook desperately defended and managed to prevent us getting the equaliser. It was the last game for Timothy Khina, a sensational all round athlete who will be sorely missed.
Goal Scorers KALI FERRIS -SMITH … calmly taken Penalty!
Player of the Match CONNOR STANNERS … plenty of hard running!
