What a physical and entertaining game of football to watch. Two teams of boys playing the game at a fast and furious pace, the action never slowing down. Many of our players including Joshua Cox, Gieran Vowels and Daniel Neale played their finest game of the season. In the midfield Phillip Talbot and Chris Edwards were awesome, constantly putting us back on the attack. A major turning point in this game was after about ten minutes where we strongly resisted wave after wave of Penrith pressure but one of their attackers broke through our defensive line. Goalkeeper Nastasha Stork stayed calm and bravely came off her line and won the ball. This seemed to be the confidence lift that we needed and we went on to look the stronger of the two teams. Shortly after Chris Edwards saw his shot hit the net to give us a narrow win in a truely memorable game. |
