Another great performance that thrilled the travelling supporters. From the very first kick, we seemed faster and stronger than the third placed opposition. Phillip Talbot twice picked out the speedy Isaac Morris in the penalty box and only brilliant goalkeeping denied him. Phillip then opened the scoring hitting a superb shot from 20 yards. In the second half we created many chances in the box and Joshua Cox, Daniel Neale and Tristan Watson all came close to scoring. Midfielder Chris Edwards did get on the end of a powerful cross and scored number 4 in 4 games, to safely win us the game. A great team effort by every single player and Timothy Kniha proved what a superb athlete he is backing up from a 2.5km Road Race just hours earlier. |
