Match Report

Wow, what a great game! Everything that we have been working on during training and games came together and we were rewarded with our first win. Every team member played their part, executing their role with skill and confidence, and trusting their team mates to do the same.

Our defence quickly intercepted plays from the opposition, feeding the ball to the midfielders who in turn ran or kicked it up the field to the forwards. The forwards then found the space to take a shot at goals.

Eli B, Eli H, Natasha and Bella each scored well deserved goals.

Thomas was on fire in goals first half and Daniel kept a clean sheet during the second half, saving one goal by diving and knocking it out with the tips of his fingers.

Lily and Angelina both positioned themselves well to receive the ball from teammates and then take the opportunity to have a shot at goal. Lily’s ability to get up and back into the game when she is knocked down is a credit to her.

Jordan, Lexy, Seb and Max were constantly on the attack. Each of them chased down the opposition, tackled for the ball and then passed to team members. They were all able to read the game and position themselves to receive the ball as well.

Your parents and coaches are so proud of you all. The way you have worked together and grown as a team is inspiring. A well deserved result!
