Match Report: The U14 Girls’ Sports Reporter neglected to do the match report this week.
So, they forgot to record the stunning opening minutes where we pushed forward with absolute speed and totally dominated the field.
They totally forsook their duty to unpack a very close first half where we kept this top team constantly under threat.
They did not include reference to the low half time score of 2 nil, which did not quite reflect the effort and closeness of the first 30 minutes.
The passionate cheers, crazed rantings, jubilant ravings, encouraging spurrings, anxious urgings and sometimes incoherent ramblings of the pack of parents will not be recorded for posterity.
They did not document Thea’s ongoing sweeps across the back constantly picking up the loose balls with her super pace. Her injury and loss from the field in the last 10 minutes of the game will not be reported.
The flurry of Blaxland goals in the 2nd half will go unmentioned.
Blanche’s epic throw in penalty fumble will be unvoiced.
Our spectacular off side ungoal will stay unsaid.
Our standard spate of handballs will be left unspoken.
Let us hope the sports reporter remembers to do something for our final game on Saturday.
