Match Report: It was a dark and stormy morning that the Blueys took on Emu. With 11.5 players to work with, the team knew they had to focus for the whole 90 minutes.

The sideline was both strong in numbers and wise with commentary ;). Crussell was missing a knee; Frankie a shoulder; Disco, and his brotha from another motha Slasher, their ankles; Tingles a voice box and, of course, we had the Taxman on statistical recording/analysis! With so much guidance available, the team didn’t know if they were Arthur or Martha … but they were doing well!

Passes were reaching their target and about half way into the first half, Val put himself onto the end of a screamer to put the team ahead at half time.

The second half began and the team were pressing. Chances were coming but after a while the momentum shifted and the team had to concentrate on defence. Helping the opposition were the many free kicks given away for hands/elbows/arms & hands again. The call then came from Skud for everyone to grab their own buttocks cheeks, when challenging, so that these free kicks would stop occurring. This began to work, and the team then just needed to hold out for another 20 minutes.

Then, the ever running Crank heard one of his Pistons backfire and he was off with ice on his Achilles :(. The team’s half player, Dre (with mending hamstring), then came on to hopefully just keep the team on track. But no! He had to put on a double backflip, turning side fall volley into the back of that net to cement the result.

When done on a great result. Mend well Crank and Mayo and all players in general.
