Match Report: A slightly damp morning at knapsack and a game to savour……blues v springwood black, and always an entertaining affair when utd come to town.

Game started with incessant utd pressure but blues stood firm and a couple of shots went wide. Blues got into their stride with a corner with wil stooping to bundle the ball home. Second from mason followed with another corner and a towering bullet header into the net! A real cracker of a goal. Two more from mason before half time gave blues a nice cushion, but we all know what wanderers from home are capable of??

Second half started with some changes from both teams and within 5 mins utd had one back and their tails were up. Another 5 mins later and it was 4-2! But blues held firm, Harry c keeping out the ball with some outstanding work, and mason showing his metal with jack in defence. A couple of fast breakaways saw the fifth from harry m and the sixth from connor g see the blues home. 6-2 the final score.

Harry c picked up MOM for his superb work in goal. The boys controlled the game when they needed to with some great first touch work and 1v1 runs, and at times the passing was quite excellent. Well done boys for going toe to toe with a tricky opposition!
