Match Report: After last week’s terrific result, it was down to Emu Plains for another crack at Springwood, this time the reds. Full compliment of players and Joey’s birthday to boot!

Game started quietly but sprung into life with two well taken goals from Harry C. First a lovely side foot round the keeper and second a finish high into the net. Blues needed to take the first touch to control things but seemed to have forgotten this as the ball was zipping around the pitch very quickly. A superb run from Mason saw a terrific cross that almost brought the third. Half time 2-0.

Second half and Mason and Ben sent up front. Finally the first touch was better and they held the ball up well. Both worked into positions and Mason grabbed a couple. A great piece of action saw Wil follow up a smart save by the Springwood keeper to place the ball beautifully across the goal onto the post, with Ben following up and hitting the other post!

Great efforts from the boys, particularly Con G, Con S, Jack and Dan.

Overall a sound performance with some nice finishing. Blues saw the game out 6-1.
