Match Report: A very warm day, a midday kick off and a sizeable away support at summerhayes meant we were in for a interesting arvo!

Blues were up for it from the start and got in front through incessant pressure, a diagonal through ball from matt set up mason beautifully for 1-0. Blues kept up the pressure and by half time a second was added from will this time. It could have been more but for some great keeping from springwood.

Second half and the first goal would be crucial, it went to springwood! Now the pressure built, but some stout defending for 15 minutes by connor s, con g and Joey with Ben in goal saw United kept at bay.

However, a corner to the blues with 5 mins to go saw an own goal make it 3-1 and the pressure was off. Last minute corner from matt saw will poke home to make it 4-1.

Some great performances from will, Ben, mason, and both Harry’s, but overall this was a team that dug in when they needed to and took their chances. As the saying goes, attack entertains, defence wins matches.
