Match Report

The Wolves, missing Lachie, fought hard against the BMFC Lions and played some really inspiring football, moving forward with great combination passing, unlucky not to score against the weighty defence of the Lions.

Alex was super again and found our players with great passes on the burst forward. Hamish was on the end of some of those passes and there were some great combinations with Josh also, our finishing just not able to break through the defence and find the back of the net.

Josh used his head again today to find our players with balls from the air and was brilliant putting himself between the ball and the attacking player when defending.

Hamish was brilliant with his work to control the ball coming in to him, as well with his stop and roll moves in defence.

Layla played on the front foot from defence in the first half and was Player of the Week, taking possession of the ball from the opposition, controlling it and making great passes which set us up to move forward. She pushed forward and had two shot on goal, just missing. Great work Laylie!

Kynan was strong again in defence and was great at looking up when he won the ball and passing to our players in space. Great stuff Ky!

Martin saved goals twice in the second half with his trademark fearless attack on the ball and again, had the presence to look for our players in space to pass to.

Luke was great in goals in the first half and worked hard to win the ball in the second half, beating the opposition with great runs forward and passes to players in position.

All our players played to position really well, working into space and combined brilliantly with passes.

The result doesn’t reflect that this was an outstanding team performance by the Wolves. Well done!
