Match Report

Season proper began at Summerhayes against a resolute Springwood team.

Connor was goalkeeper for the first half and produced two stunning saves – one from point blank range and the other diving at the strikers feet. As the half wore on we saw some great finishing from Ash, Riley and Fin. Kiran, playing as a defender, surged forward skipping past a couple of challenges, laying the ball off to be crossed in for Riley to score – a great move using dribbling, passing, crossing and finishing. Arwen’s passing continues to improve – at one point putting her foot on top of the ball before a lovely pass to a team mates feet. Maeve, James, Kane and Aiden all showed great tenacity in tackle after tackle, giving the opposition no time on the ball.

Fin went in goal second half as he was feeling a bit under the weather and did a great job and Kiran got the goal his hard work deserved.
