Cold, wet, muddy…how good was it! With everyone getting to Hazelbrook early, despite the 9am kick off, the kids were able to warm up and be ready for the match. Riley went in goal in the first half and made some great saves as we found ourselves defending for most of the half. Kiran in particular intercepting and clearing well. A couple of goals on the breakaway from Connor, set up by James and Kane, were just reward for the defensive effort.

In the second half Arwen went in goal and also made some good stops. Riley scored after a great pass into space out wide by Kiran. James speculative effort squeezed through the keepers hands; Ashton defended brlliantly all game and Maeve was very strong in the midfield as usual and almost scored near the end, running through on goal as the rest of the team gave her space.
