Considering a 2-week break from football ("bye" last week and no training this week, due to rain), the Sharks played well against their own home club opponents, the Minxs. Cross-team friendships were evident, as mid-field conversations between the teams occurred every so often. Drew "Pocket Rocket" Hamilton scored a great goal in the opening minutes of the game, following a wonderful pass from team mate, Joshua "JJ" Kuipers. Kegan "Kegs" Ryan, Lachlan "Lockie' Yabsley and Jacob "Jake" Bishop also scored a goal each in the first half. In the second half, the Sharks were held to scoring only two goals, because of some goal-mouth defense from the Minxs. Sasha "Basha" Duetoft and Kegan were goal scorers, with Joshua again making a nice pass for another goal scoring opportunity. However, there were some excellent attempts at goal that were thwarted by the Minxs. All in all, a good game, where 12 boys had fun.
