Match Report |
I’m sure this would of been one of the strangest games of football the crowd has ever witnessed! From the opening whistle we piled on the pressure, and it seemed like we’d win this easily. A series of corners were taken perfectly, many taken short and catching their defence unaware. Kali Ferris-Smith was unlucky when his header just went over the Bar when the ball was crossed powerfully over. Players Tom Bowden, Fletcher Allison, Fraser Brown and POTW Ben Cross did everything possible to build a solid platform in the middle of the park as we dominated this game. A defensive mishap allowed the opposition to take the lead, but still we looked far superior. Tristan Watson came close when he broke clear, only to see his shot brilliantly saved at he last second by the Penrith goalkeeper. As time ticked away, we threw everything at them, but to their credit, their defence was perfect on the day. Not a great result result for us but a great game of football to watch. |
