THAT SAVE!!! It'll long be talked about by all those that witnessed it.
Match Report |
Phillip Talbot gave us an early lead, he's in a class of his own at striking balls from distance. This one from twenty yards flew into the net giving the goalkeeper no chance. The rest of the game was finely balanced with the home team looking slightly the better team. The opposition defenders will still be having nightmares after the trickery and skill of Isaac Morris who constantly beat one, two, three of them with ease. Joshua Cox was very mature with his positional play, always giving us the option to spread the ball out wide. On the other wing, Callum Sinclair is developing a great understanding of the game and is totally fearless in tackles. Chris Edwards has been very dominant in the middle of the park recently and seems to be really enjoying his football. As the game neared to the final whistle, Richmond mounted a last ditch attack and their striker hit a high shot from close range. The crowd thought it was in, both sets of players thought it was in, this Sports Reporter thought it was in, the only one with any doubt was brilliant goalkeeper Natasha Stork. She kept her eyes on the ball and strongly palmed it over the crossbar. The bar is eight feet high so for a ten year old to force it that high made it an even more remarkable save. The players themselves rewarded Nat with this weeks POTW. A very pleasing performance and result from all the children involved! |
