Match Report |
They could easily have charged an Entrance Fee to watch this, such was the quality of the entertainment. Springwood dominated the early stages but through sheer hard work and tough tackling, we forced our way back into it. Phillip Talbot scored the goal after seeing an earlier effort come crashing back off the post. In the second half we tore them to pieces, Isaac Morris totally dazzling their defence with his dribbling skills. Full backs Liam Holmes and Gieran Vowels both surged down the wings to help build our continuing attacks. At the back, Brandon Dejonge and Kali Ferris Smith both proved to be rock solid. Full size goal frames are hard to defend for any junior goalkeeper, but Natasha Stork once again played a perfect role. POTW was won by Callum Sinclair who played a number of positions and was one of the first to lead by example with the tough defending that was required. All thirteen players in the squad deserve a huge pat on the back for grinding out our best win so far. |
