Match Report | Disappionting start to the season for the lads. This was a do or die match to ensure a turn around in form and postion on the table. From the beginning the young Blueys looked good. However blaxlands tactics of long ball to the strikers was dangerous. Perfectly structured defence and a new face in the back ‘staners’ strengthened the defence. Against the run of play a beautiful movement from the back won a free kick just outside the 18 yard box. Jason S put his hand up to take it and placed the ball to the right of the keeper. 1-0 bluey’s. Renewed confidence saw the mountains men play like they a youth league team. Precision passing along the ground, wonderful control and team work saw some great football. Second half became the same as the first 15 minutes of the first half pressure through aerial attack of the blaxland team. Cameron made a wonderful save. Staners was strong, vocal and controlling at the back. another wonderful movement from the back created a chance for jason s and was wonderfully taken. Blueys conceded a late goal but the scoreline doesnt reflect the control bluey’s had over blaxland. |
