Match Report

Our preparation going into this game was thorough, but Cranebrook lead the Comp because they’re a very good Football Team.

The opening ten minutes, and we totally dominated the play, however the opposition Defence kept us scoreless. Billy Moar came closest with a shot that went inches wide of the far Post.

In the midfield, Josh Blewitt, Luke Springett and Gus Callinan worked hard, and Reserve Goal Keeper Noah Clarkeburn was exceptional in proving he can effortlessly play every Position. He will be missed when he joins a Norwegian Club very shortly.

Our major highlight was the Wonder Goal scored by Aiden Monaco, where he collected the ball 40 metres out, and sprinted into the Penalty Box with two Defenders nipping at his heels, and then calmly pushing the ball perfectly just inside the Post.

Oliver Magri was announced as POTW, not the most skilful player in the team, but one who always gives 100% effort! The Crowd love his honest, tough tackling!
