Match Report

It was a dark and stormy afternoon at Cougar Park where the Blacks came up against a Colo side looking to play leapfrog over the Blue Blacks in second.

It was a great start when Elmer scored after a minute! It looked an easy game coming up as Ralph scored a double in the first half making it 3-0 at half time.

Big Craig wasn’t there with the oranges at half time and I think our minds were on other things in the first 20 minutes of the second half. The Blueys were camped in their own half for a majority. Colo scored making it 3-1 and then their striker went down in the box after Mark blew him over with a swift breath. I think there may have been a sniper in the mountains surrounding the ground, or quite possibly it was Arjen Robben in disguise? That same striker planted the ball on the spot and Deano picked a side and thankfully pulled off a great penalty save! Well done Draven!

Not long after Grant scored a cracker to make it 4-1. Elmer scored 5-1. Colo scored 5-2. Grant scored another screamer 🙂 and then "There’s only one Craigy Maynard" made it 7-2.

Overall great performance from the lads. That’s put a few in the comp on notice! Three 9am kickoffs in the next three weeks. Yay!
