Match Report:

It was a dark and stormy morning that the O35 3’s took to the field in Richmond.

The crux of the team had returned and we welcomed some new stars in the form of Rocket, Skud and Rusty.  And from the trial games played, it was a good match up!

Let me get it out of the way.  The team went down 1-0 today but not without a fight.  Dez shook the cross bar; Crank cranked up the heat with a volley which was a near miss; Hurls was peppering the keeper; G was taken down in the box; and Pirate was a near miss with his header!

Most of us kept our attention on the game, except maybe GB who was busy receiving a facial (copping the ball in his face not once, but twice!).

Rusty was having a scorcher of a game until his one way trip to the sideline!

Realising that the opposition’s attack lacked a little speed, The Skud took on a more direct role in defence, freeing up a central midfielder.  This certainly helped in that area of the field.

Whist we were unlucky not to, at least, equalise … we certainly noticed that we had less time on the ball.  To make this easier on the weekend we have to train with this in mind – playing the ball quicker, whilst maintaining accuracy.
