A cool morning at Jamison park vs Penrith FC with the conditions perfect for football.

After only four minutes Penrith snuck one in and it was an early 1-0. The boys got a bit of a shock but it was all BMFC from there!

The seventh minute seen Aiden push hard all the way down the right wing dodging every other player on the field with the support of Samuel, unlucky not to finish but great ownership of possession.

Seventeen minutes in and the ball was being scrapped around backwards and forward then Jacob took control and dealt with a goalie that was off his line. Jacob lifted the ball nicely to bounce it over the keepers head and into the net 1-1

Great to see Zac return and get back into it, at the 20 minute mark a through ball from Samuel to Zac which created a big break and he had them for pace down the right, we practiced crosses and he nailed it with Jake waiting patiently and narrowly missed a header into the net, awesome to watch!

Bailey got a push in the back just inside the box, the ball went like a bullet to the keeper from the penalty and it was defended well, the follow up was unlucky not to be also put away.

Once agin BMFC took advantage of the right hand side at the 22 minute mark. Samuel again taking control of the ball from the Penrith attack and pushing it gently to Bailey who made a break, crossing it to meet Oscar inside the box who could smell the opportunity…..boom, angled nicely of his head for a 2-1 lead. Excellent work to move the ball up the field and finish.

Myles was showing his presence with some strong runs in and out to confuse the opposition, this went on for nearly three of four plays. Passing backward, passing forward, creating gaps for him and his team mates. He was rewarded with his hard work with a nice goal right on half time. 3-1

The second half didn’t see the boys slacken off. Tom and Bodhi held the back well pushing the ball forward to Ben who was also quick to release as required. Jackson had some great long range balls fired at him but he was too good, not a goal conceded in the second half

Nine minutes into the second half Aiden nailed a gentle corner to meet Ben who flew above the opposition to head one into the net for a 4-1 lead. Once again a practiced move that came off.

The extra chocolate eggs were clearly burnt off by the boys with our two sessions. They all lifted to control the game nicely, well done lads
