Match Report: End of season and a friendly against the whites to see out a very productive year for the u9 Blues. And as it turned out this was a great game to finish on…..

Game started with some good attacking football from both teams and whites took the lead. Within 10 minutes they were 2-0 up and blues heads began to to sag. A few subs and matt pulled one back, 2-1 at half time. This was going to go to the wire.

Second half began and blues pulled it back to 2-2 but whites fought right back to make it 3-2. Second half sub again paid dividends and some slick passing saw the blues go 3-3, then 4-3 and finally put the game to bed with 2 mins left at 5-3! Well done matt for his four goals….but well done the rest of the boys for their hard work and never say die attitude.

MOM was con S whose defence proved the old saying, goals entertain, but defence wins matches. His tackles and reading of the game in one-on-one situations was outstanding. Great way for everyone to finish a very successful season!
