Match Report:
Another exciting game with defence dominating and Blue Mountains having most of the play but having to settle for a draw.
Blue Mountains defence performed strongly in the first half, with Mitchell Carter, Aden Heymans, Ben Hampson and Brendan Whyte giving good clearances whenever Cranebrook pushed forward. Mitchell Hunter, Nathanial Batko, Stephen Hooker and Liam Isaksen dominated midfield, with many good runs forward. Brenton Bell went close on two occasions, ably supported in attack by Michael Breckenridge.
Cranebrook rarely threatened the Blue Mountains defence, but towards the end of the first half a break-away from two of their forwards gave James Beech in goal no chance and Cranebrook went in at half time one goal up.
In the second half, the pattern continued with Blue Mountains threatening strongly but failing to capitalise. Finally, a good cross from Stephen Hooker found Brenton Bell who passed to the unmarked Mitchell Carter who had time to control the ball and put it clear of the Cranebrook goalkeeper for a well-deserved equaliser.
Blue Mountains continued to threaten, forcing a series of corners, but the pressure was not further rewarded and the game ended in a draw.
