Match Report: A full team today and we were keen to play well after a disappointing opening game loss. Eli was our keeper in the first half and made a couple of great saves.

We were under the pump early in the game but great defensive work, especially from central defensive partnership, Sam & Millsy, kept the opposition at bay. We started to get into the game after 10 minutes or so and a counter attack saw Alex lay the ball off neatly for Ash to firmly pass the ball past the keeper into the net. Within 2 minutes Penrith were level after a corner was not cleared and a shot through a sea of players beat Eli.

We then had a goal disallowed for offside after Finn surged from centre midfield into the box and laid off to Liam to score. Shortly after we won a penalty. Aidan had been slotting them away in training consistently but today the ball was struck at the keeper. Fortunately the keeper fumbled the ball out & Aidan calmly slotted home.

Second half saw Ash go in goal and Eli switch to right back. Dom was asked to play left back & nullify Penrith’s speedy winger. We started the half well, winning the midfield battle through Sam & Millsy who had moved up from central defence. We got a third goal from a great cross from Alex finding Chris all on his own & he found the net using his right foot.

A fourth came from the penalty spot again after Keastie was pushed over. Jake really wanted to take this one and did so firing into the net.

Dom and Liam did and excellent job defending the right hand side. Damo linked well all game with those around him out wide & upfront.

Sam POW for fantastic work in defence and then midfield alongside Millsy, who also had an outstanding game.
