As the saying goes “it was the game that won on the day” with true sportsmanship shown by both teams in Blue Mountains win over Colo 4 goals to 2.
|Match Report|| |
Once Colo scored in the first few minutes Blue Mountains responded with a brilliant left foot goal by Blake Young. Rampaging forward Jarrad Parker soon followed with a great individual goal.
Second half saw Blake Young power another scorcher off that left foot which nearly burnt a hole in the net. As a birthday treat Jordan Wheatley was let loose from goal keeping duties and in the dying minutes of the game scored a goal after a precision pass from Andrew Farnham. Happy Birthday Jordan.
What we saw on Saturday was what we all love to witness, both teams playing hard but when there is a clash on the field team players from both sides stopping to assist their opponent to their feet and making sure they are OK.
We thank the parents from Colo for their praise of sportsmanship for our boys. Well done “White Knights” you are a shining example of true sportsmanship.
