Match Report

It was a long drive up to Pitt Park and the boys were itching to go when KO time arrived.

Within minutes the Blues were down a goal, then showed tremendous character and skills to totally turn the game around. Tom Wrightson scored four from all angles, while Zac Kingsford and Jack Higgins added others. Ben Haywood was unlucky with a powerful shot that went over the bar.

The field was ankle deep in places but still this talented team of youngsters were determined to play ‘real’ football and use the full width of the field. Heath Stanners went on many runs with the ball down the wings.  Oliver Magri was sensational and his bravery amazing, constantly tackling and sometimes getting injured while making crunching tackles.

A great start to the season, still lots of learning and hard work in front of the boys, but they seem more than capable of every challenge thrown at them so far.
