Match Report |
Firstly, and most importantly, a huge "HELLO" to a new team mate, Christian Giles. The Sharks players and parents extend you and your family a warm welcome to the team. Now, onto the game … what a fabulous match! A fitting sequel to the "Fast and Furious" game of last week – Vin would have been proud. This week, our usual attacking players (Jake, Kegan, Drew and Lachlan) were in excellent form, with Jake making some brilliant breaks. For the first time in a number of weeks, Sasha played really well when in attack mode. Christian showed very good balls skills, stopping balls that were passed to him, before playing on or passing onto a team mate. Joshua, our usual mid-field player, also made a couple of good attacking moves. It was a good, tight game, with both teams evenly matched in ability and pace – the Kangaroos were worthy opponents. Thanks for the game, Blaxland. However, well done, Sharks – two great games, back-to-back. Let's see your wonderful form continue, when we play again in two weeks time. Thanks go to the "best coach ever", Jason, for helping the boys improve their skills every week and to Klaus Duetoft, for doing an exceptional job as our stand-in referee, in Martin Bishop's absence (ingrown toenail op – OUCH). Martin, you would've been proud of your 2IC. |
