Our team went into this match a little overconfident after beating Jamieson 6-1 last week. Charlie Alexander opened his account for the match after 5 minutes, with Mum and Dad as well as his Grandparents cheering him on. Just as well Mum was there to keep score as Charlie finished the game with 4 goals to his name. It was 2-1 our way at half time and the boys were quite exited. However a few words from Coach Iain Hocknull brought them back to earth with the reminder that Jamieson were fired up and not about to let us win easily on their home ground. This turned out to quite true with Jamieson coming out firing, slamming two quick goals into the back of our net with little resistance from our boys. This seemed to lift our team to a new level and they responded well with excellent support and defence from the whole team. Jonathan Doyle, Zach Hameister, Thomas Marsh, Nicholas Gianatti, Oliver Scarlet, Robbbie Glackin, Adam Hull (1) Jonathan Owen, Hayden Wallace and Chris Dukes. Zachary Stewart as always was solid in defence. Special mention to Charlie Alexander (4) for four goals to secure another win for our team. |
