Match Report

Scoreless Draws can sometimes be dull and boring affairs, but this one was an absolutely wonderful Match.

A big away Support followed the boys up the Mountains, all well rugged up as the temperature never looked like hitting double figures. Many of the Players chose to wear undergarments under their Club Shirts.

The game was played at a frantic pace, Luke Springett and Zac Lee both confident enough to take on opposition Defenders.

Our Defence was probably the toughest it’s been all Season, Will Cooke and Hunter Turl both incredibly brave and rock solid! A last moment sliding tackle from Will saved a certain break through, and goal opportunity. Luke Doughty and Oliver Magri both added their toughness and tackling skills, to halt anything coming down the Sidelines. On the rare occasions the opposition did look threatening, Goalkeeper Robbie Churchill showed why the boys value him so much.

In the Second Half, Gus Callinan showed wonderful dribbling skills to get into the Penalty Box, and stayed composed enough to hit a nice shot, but the GK pulled off a great save.

Forwards, Gus Langworthy and Aiden Monaco continued to work hard and test their Defence, but when the Final Whistle blew, a Draw was probably a fair result.

In the post Match banter, Luke Springett shared how he shed a tear recently, when he walked into a pole at Nepean Sq and squashed his private parts. No-one was expecting such bluntness, and it gave his Team Mates and Spectators a chuckle.
