Match Report

Final match day of the season and fantastic to be playing our friends.

The muddy, slippery surface meant that crisp passing to feet was really important. Dom played in the centre of defence and did a super job cleaning up. Alex Mills was goalie for the first half and did a great job.

There was some excellent passing and movement in the first half – one move down the right from Damo to Con, who crossed and Finn hit a half volley into the goal.

Kane and Alex Crambrook combined brilliantly down the left hand side to create a number of good chances for Damo up front.

In the second half Jake went in goal (Jake was feeling very poorly today and showed an excellent attitude to play and support his team mates). Eli played centre back and, like Dom in the first half, was very solid. Ash was pushed forward out of defence and scored a penalty following a hand ball.

Con came close to a goal, getting up to head Ash’s corner just wide.

Aidan was seeing a lot of the ball down the right hand side late on, courtesy of Damo putting him away from right back. One cross led to a free kick just outside the box which Dom took and struck well, taking a deflection into the net.
