Penultimate game of the season and a more intense warm-up paid off in the first half. Con made a number of great saves to keep a clean sheet. After sustained pressure Damo put in a lovely cross to the far post for Alex C to coolly side foot in with outside of his left boot. Dom made it two with a smart one-on-one finish after a well-weighed though-ball behind the defensive line by Aiden. In defence Jake, Finn, Kane and Ash were all superb keeping the opposition at bay.

We have been behind 2-0 at half time ourselves a couple of times this season and fought back so we know Colo could do the same and so it proved. We were under pressure most of the half and defended brilliantly – Alex M, Dom and Kane most notably – but Colo eventually got through, agonisingly the equalizer in the last minute.

There were excellent performances in the heart of midfield from Damo, Eli, Finn & Ash today – a draw was about right as the two teams were evenly matched across the park.
