Match Report

It was a dark and stormy Sunday that saw the O35 Four Whites take on the Purple People Eaters (or O35 Four Blacks). The good news was that it was a top of the table clash and the two top teams were from the Blue Mountains Football Club!!

As always, there were three points up for grabs and thankfully the team turned up with their heads on the game. Dez was able to make the best of the team’s efforts in the first half, putting away a well placed angle shot as well as a solid one-on-one with the keeper.

In the second half, the team fought on, making some good space. Whilst there were a number of opportunities, it was Dirty who made his way onto the goal scorer’s list. It was a solid strike from 20-odd yards out with pin point accuracy. This, on the back of his first half clean sheet (as keeper), made Dirty a happy man.

Bruce, too, added another clean sheet to his name and it was a VERY good effort all around from all players.

No doubt the secret to the team’s success was the half time fruit platter. As usual it was more than just the players chipping in today!!! Thanks Tash!
