Match Report: A meeting of two different styles of football occurred on Sunday morning out by Warragamba Dam. We brought pass and move, Warradale brought kick and chase. Each team had their own interpretation of the other’s – Brad and Sean were both referred to as netballers during the game and when a free kick was taken incorrectly by Warradale, Paul’s subtle call of ‘Let them feed it again ref’ was heard by few and lost on many

Paul was given a run upfront, for 10 minutes, before Marty removed him for being Mr Cranky and later placed him safely back in the defensive line where he was far more destructive joining the attack and setting up a goal for Lowndsey

Lowndsey bagged plenty; there was another terrific finish, by an opposing defender into his own net (that’s two in two weeks); Sean leapt salmon-like to head in off the underside of the bar at the near post from a corner; Brad buried two screamers late on to silence the baying crowd and top off a player of the match performance in his first game back this season

After the game Sean went home and told his wife about the netball sledge and said maybe that is the game for him – the outfit fits after all
