Match Report: We started our season against a Werrington team we had four close games with the previous season.

New, younger and aesthetically pleasing to the ladies recruits of Lowndsey, Ibra & Thor has brought the average age of the squad down a number of years and balanced out the ageing, unattractive looks of Ipswich and Rash.

The first half was a tight affair with no goals scored – Double Fist keeping one effort out, diving to his right through the air to deny.

In the second half the floodgates opened with Ibra & Lowndsey both opening their accounts for their new team with tap ins & Suarez adding two more with a little help from keeper errors.

Werrington pulled one back after Pauly laid on the ball in the 18 yard box & a pen was awarded for not rolling away. Double Fist left plenty of room to his left as usual, employing the double bluff but the pen taker slotted there anyway.

Good win to start the season and we now back up Tuesday night in the Nepean Cup.
