Match Report: Another epic effort by the boys today.

After a shaky start, testing out our unflappable keeper “safe hands Harry” the boys eventually dug deep and found their groove, resulting in a great assist from Travis that allowed Ronan to net the first score of the game.

Nicky and Olly continue to form a formidable back line, refusing to ever give up and showcasing the importance of powerful throw ins and kicks. But it is the consistency in our midfield of Riley, Travis and Daniel that repeatedly drove the ball to the right end of the pitch, allowing our forwards, Gabriel, Bentley and Ronan to have multiple goal opportunities.

Going into the break 1 all, a quick drink and a sugar hit saw the boys take to the pitch with renewed fervour. Half two saw Ronan take on the goalie jersey, allowing Harry to hit the field with fresh legs, and meaning our tackles were quickly cleared. The team passing continues to impress and opens up the field to create multiple goal shot opportunities. Despite some heart-breaking misses, the team worked together to give Bentley the chance to flex his well-earned player of the match skills and land the much-coveted hat trick of goals, resulting in a somewhat precarious cartwheel from an over excited manager. ?

Despite a discrepancy with the opposing team over the final scoreline, today was a well-earned win of which the boys should be really proud. We missed our team mates, Ciaran and William, today and hope to continue this drive, with all our players back on the field next week, when we play at home again…
