Match Report

It was a dark and stormy afternoon that saw the AA5’s take on Emu. It was an enjoyable game to play, despite Crussell’s insistence that we stick to our plan (to withhold our winning ways to the finals).

The ball was being passed around, when appropriate, and thumped up the field, when appropriate too. Turtle was dynamic up front and in the mids; Niall was busy taking out some legs; Headband found himself in the right position a few times; Crank had a cameo appearance; GB spectated hard; the Taxman taxed like there was no tomorrow; BK ran like the clappers; Tingles provided a running commentary and kept out all attempts at a chip; Dirty worked hard up and down the line; Slasher slashed; Denty marked and cleaned up; Balls held the ball up and challenged well in the air; Slider slid; Nathan tore up the park and provided the team with a really good example of an air swing in front of the goals; Luke showed his flexibility by playing well up front and in defence; and Justin was busting his chops chasing down some defenders.

If I have missed any of the players today: an Ode to you I owe!
