It was a dark and stormy morning that the AA5’s boarded the team bus and headed down to Cranebrook. Today the teams were equally matched … too bad the scoreline didn’t reflect this!! It seems the bindii proved to be a thorn in our side 🙂 The Bluey’s weathered a strong attack for the first 15 minutes and, in contrast, almost took the lead with a magic through ball by the Preacher. The shot was on the wrong side of the upright. With some sharp (or lucky) offside monitoring by the defence the first half finished 1-0 to the grey and black folk. The second half saw many more chances for the Bluey’s attack, with some good linking passing, but unfortunately the same went for the opposition. Tingles couldn’t say no to the offer of a free shoulder re-construction … with the bonus being a penalty. A well composed Crank put the goal away clinically (adding some flare, some hoohar and a fist pump for good measure). The linking play by the Bluey’s is always good to watch (and be part of). Next week we just all need to make one more pass to feet each (maintaining possession and saving a turn and chase). Notes and Thank yous!
