Match Report: Home game played at St Johns – first time many of the boys have played at our neighbouring club for many years

With Eli crook Jacob kindly offered to go in goal and had a super game making a few vital saves. Alex C was outstanding at left back in the first half – strongly winning a number of headers and making one brilliant run all the way to the by-line, delivering a great cross that James almost tucked away

Despite having the majority of the ball and creating chances we fell behind late in the first half

Millsy, Aidy, Sam and Max in the second half defended really well, not really giving the opposition any chances to get a shot away. Going forward we created but couldn’t finish and as time ticked away a loss seemed likely. A late handball though handed Captain Aidy a chance to salvage a point – which he did drilling the ball into the back of the net, giving the keeper no chance. The final whistle then blew!
