Match Report: School holidays and injuries depleted our numbers again so for the second week in a row David was kind enough to help us out

With an early morning start for sleepy teenagers, it is always an anxious opening few minutes to see if everyone is switched on – they were; Martin, Max & Jacob worked hard to win the important midfield battle. At the back, Captain Jake was paired with Alex L in the heart of defence with the usual pairing of Millsy & Aidy unavailable & played well together for the first time there

Our first goal came when Alex C took a quick corner that came back out to him. Alex is a natural left footer so to see him hit a ball with his right from the edge of the box and fly into the bottom corner was awesome!

Ethan added a second after Alex C tee’d him up and David made it three with a sharp finish in a crowded box. St Clair pulled one back just prior to half time with a great individual run & finish

Ethan was chopped down in the box early in the second half & with regular penalty taker Aidy away Damo grabbed the ball – hitting the target but a little too close to the keeper who saved well

Ethan got two more to complete his hat-trick and throughout the game we played some super football & created a lot of chances

Keastie & Sam were solid as rocks in the two book end positions of right and left back; Eli made a couple of great saves when called upon and his distribution was excellent; James bombed up and down the right wing getting crosses in

Player of the week though to Alex C for a really great all round game
