Match Report: A very windy afternoon at Knapsack as we entertained league leaders Colo. After an excellent team performance midweek against the 16’s of Glenmore Park the boys were ready for the challenge ahead

Jake and Ethan provided some size, strength and determination in the midfield and delivered superbly – providing Damo and later Jacob with plenty of ball to open Colo up

Max man marked a player who had put three past us in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and basically didn’t give him a sniff – an exceptional game

Up front Alex C, Dom and then James rotating as centre forward terrorised the big centre back as the midfield were able to get the ball in behind regularly. The first and third goals coming from the pressure applied – a tap in from James after Dom’s effort was parried and an Aidy penalty after Alex C won a penalty

Alex L set up Alex C with a driving run down the left and a pin point cross that was tapped in. Jake was rewarded for a super display with a goal from the edge of the box

At the back Millsy and Aidy won the aerial battle and covered each other well as the other went up. Sam was solid as ever, Coach granting his request for a 5 minute run up front at the end. Eli was ever reliable, off his line quickly and saving the occasional shot, although there were other too many today. We defended corners well – one clearing header from Max sticks in the mind
