Match Report: The game ebbed one way & the other which made for an exciting match.

Pitt Town took the lead from a direct free kick some 25 metres out that sailed into the top corner out of goalkeeper Liam’s reach. We equalized close to half time, Ashton half volleying into the corner from the edge of the box.

We took the lead early in the second half after Ash crossed from the left, over the keeper & found our goal poach Chris at the far post to control and pass in.

We dominated possession and chances – Dom hit the bar and the post, Finn fired over 1on1 with the keeper – but found ourselves behind after two goals on the break. Dom leveled with a crisp finish & we had a chance to win it with a penalty after Ash was fouled. The keeper saved the penalty and then punted the ball to the other end for the centre forward to shoot past Will.

Very tough for the boys to take but hopefully will know next time to make sure cover at the back if we win a penalty!

PoM – Alex Crambrook – did an excellent job at left back, both in defence & working with Ash to get us moving foreword.
