Match Report: A number of the boys had watched Chelsea play Sydney on Tuesday and were now extra keen to get out there themselves

Dom was out, still poorly, so we had 12 for the away trip. Will was Captain for the day

Aiden went in goal first half and was very positive, coming out to claim balls put into the box. We went 2-0 down in the fist ten minutes however from a good move for the first and off a corner that Aiden parried for the second

This posed a big question of the boys to see if they could fight their way back into it. Jake had been deployed up front & was causing the defence problems. He was put through on one occasion but couldn’t get his shot away. With a few minutes left of the half Eli passed a ball through for Jake to run onto and he laid it off perfectly for Ash on the left to knock passed the keeper

Eli went in goal for the second half. Half time instructions were to defend well, don’t concede as we knew we would create a few chances ourselves

Our defence and midfield restricted the opposition to long range shots only which Eli was more than capable of handling. At the other end we started looking likely to get level and we did with about 5 to go. Aiden laid the ball off for Ash to poke home with his right foot. With time ticking away we mounted one final attack. Again it was Aiden in the final 1/3’rd timing his pass perfectly to Ash to get in behind and pass the ball past the oncoming keeper. Immediately after the ref blew the final whistle
