Match Report: It almost was a forfeit…………I was busy doing my hair thinking all grounds closed when word came that Summerhayes mod 3 was open and game on! Last week blues copped a football lesson, this week hopefully back to winning ways.

Blues arrived with only 9 and a sub, but that was enough. Springwood had come close in the reverse fixture, but within 10 seconds of kick off it was one nil blues, a poor backpass and good pressure from our forwards gave us an early lead. From then on some great first touches, outstanding passing and accurate shooting led to some superb goals. Mason had four by half time and Harry M smashed in a corker from 20m or so. Half time 8-1.

Second half blues kept up the pressure but credit to Springwood, they kept having a go. However Blues were outstanding in defence, passed the ball superbly and finished when they needed to. A very competitive half finished with more goals added, final score Blues 14 Springwood 2.

MOM was Wil, who never gave up with superb running on and off the ball. Mention to Ben for a truly outstanding display in goal. Well done to all!
