Match Report: Second visit to Springwood in a month but this time the weather was much cooler so we got to play this time

A few away again so just one on the bench which was the returning Millsy from a hamstring strain

The boys were out of the blocks quickly with Ethan getting consecutive hat tricks, this one coming inside the first 25 minutes. The first was set up by a ball in behind the defence by Max, Ethan rounding the keeper. The second was a ball over Ethan’s shoulder running toward the edge of the 18 yard box which he hit sweetly on the volley past the oncoming keeper. The hat trick was completed with an instinctive shot from outside the box. A player very much in form

Springwood scored a great goal themselves from distance just before half time

The second half was more of an arm wrestle with not too many chances created. Eli tipped one effort from the edge of the box onto the bar

The rain belted down late in the second half and the coach was heard to say ‘perfect weather for football’

Our centre midfield of Max, Jake, Martin & Jacob was excellent today, winning a lot of ball
