Match Report: Photo day and the boys wore beanies again for the team photo to remember their former team mate Connor

A full squad available for the first time this season was a great sight for the Coach. At training we had focused on two things – challenging for every ball in the air – if you can’t win the header you need to challenge for it and playing the way you face – not turning into an opponent

We had a good start, keeping the ball well and playing on the ascendency. We won a free kick in the opponents half and Aidy put a super cross in that Ethan met well and headed past the keeper

We continued to play some really neat football, passing and moving off the ball well. We were rewarded with a second – Alex Lennie playing up front hooking the ball over the keeper

We were undone right on half time from a corner that went in on off Alex L

The good play continued in the second half but we couldn’t find a goal until about 10 minutes from time when Ethan cut inside and hit the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box

It was great to see Dom back on the pitch after a month out with injury, going on for the last 10

Parents pick for player of the week was Martin who has joined our team this season and been a consistent ball winner with tenacity in the centre of the park every week
