Match Report

The U16G team had a successful 3rd game today by defeating Henry Lawson 2-1. The team has leaped frogged up the table from 8th to 5th place in the space of a week, and displacing Henry Lawson from that position. They are setting a positive pace for the rest of the season by playing to a 2-2 draw against Penrith the previous week despite fielding only 10 players and conceding a penalty in the last 5 minutes.

The girls are developing good passing techniques and hustling the opposition for possession. This showed in the majority possession stake in the duration of the game – being in the opposition half more than 50% of the time. We just have to work on converting this into points. I am sure that the girls will work hard on this during the season.
